damper pad around the surface, you can eliminate any unwanted resonance, and obtain the exact sound the situation demands.

 

For maxium dampening, place one damper at 12 o'cloc and one at 9 or 3 o'clock on your drum head. Cut damper in half or bend a damper against the drum rim to allow half of the damper to touch the head for miniumm dampening.
