About the event
Adam Stec began his drumming career backing up original artists in the Lancaster Area, while simultaneously immersing himself in the drumming industry: eventually beginning his career at Drums Etc (The Drummer’s Pro Shop) in 2014. His playing style and approach was developed organically by working with original artists, performing in numerous cover bands and playing in the Ephrata First church band. In 2021, Adam purchased Drums Etc, The Drummer’s Pro Shop and acts as owner/operator to present day. Since 2024, Adam has been more active on the scene, getting hired as the drummer for Clifton Bryan Country alongside doing regular studio work and getting hired for gigs in the Lancaster/York Area and beyond. Levon Helm and the Band ranks #1 on the list of his influences. Over the years, Adam has drawn on Levon’s playing for inspiration as he pursues his musical endeavors in the Folk, Country and Rock genres. He has assembled a LIVE BAND for this performance. As he puts it, “Levon wouldn’t have it any other way”.
This year, Drums Etc is paying tribute to the drummers that inspired us to play, encouraged us to develop our craft, and made an impact on our drumming journeys. We have recruited professional drummers, educators and fans to present and demonstrate what makes the icons so unique and impactful. Don’t forget… we’re huge drum nerds! This means we’re pairing each presenter with the iconic gear that made each drummer stand out on stage! Each presentation will offer its own unique blend of education, history and a lot of PLAYING!
